To ensure the Hongyuan children's summer is both fulfilling and enjoyable, and to broaden their horizons through engaging experiences, Luoyang Hongyuan Bearing Technology Co., Ltd. organized a trip for the children to the Luoyang Geological Museum and the Mengjin Museum on August 16, 2025, embarking on a hands-on study tour that blended the mysteries of nature with the richness of history.
Stepping into the mineral crystal exhibition hall at the Luoyang Geological Museum felt like entering a secret realm where nature has hidden treasures for eons. Guided by their teachers, the children were immediately captivated by the rare mineral crystals in the display cases. Rocks of varying shapes, some craggy and some smooth, and colorful gemstones shone with subtle reflections in the light. Each exhibit, like a silent narrator, gently unfolded the long story of the Earth's formation and geological structure.
How did the patterns on this crystal form? "Is this rock really hundreds of millions of years old?" "Is this a night-shining pearl? I've seen it in a book!" The Hongyuan children approached the display cases with wide eyes, sometimes leaning over to observe the patterns on the crystals, sometimes listening attentively to the teacher's explanation. When they discovered something new, they whispered to their companions. Overflowing curiosity spread like tiny bubbles throughout the exhibition hall.
The once silent stones had become the most vivid textbooks. The Hongyuan children not only learned about rock types and mineral properties through observation, but also truly felt the wonders of nature, and their interest in exploring the mysteries of the Earth was quietly ignited.
From the grandeur of geology to the richness of human culture, the Hongyuan children entered the Mengjin Museum with curiosity and anticipation in their eyes. Following the guide's lead, they listened attentively to chapters in Mengjin's history: from the primitive ecological landscape to the major historical events of the Han Dynasty, each episode of the past came alive in the explanation.
In the exhibition hall, the Heluo Land is represented. Fossils of animals and plants, characteristic of the region's pristine ecology, are quietly displayed. The clearly delineated bones and leaf imprints offer a glimpse into the vitality of ancient times.
In the exhibition area documenting local legends, the Hongyuan children paused before documents displayed alongside the display cases, following the guide's recitation of the ancient legend of "a dragon and a horse carrying a map emerged from the river, upon which Fuxi drew the Eight Trigrams." Hearing about these significant historical events closely tied to their homeland, the once vague "history of their hometown" became concrete and vivid.
Experience the wonders of nature through geological wonders and feel the warmth of their hometown through its historical context. This study tour not only enriched the Hongyuan children's knowledge and broadened their horizons through this walking classroom, but also planted two precious seeds in their hearts: a love and desire for exploration of natural science, and a closeness to and pride in their home culture.
